• Để trả lời câu hỏi này, ngoài những thông tin cơ bản như tên, tuổi, nơi ở, bạn có thể cân nhắc giới thiệu về học vấn, kinh nghiệm làm việc và những thông tin có liên quan đến công việc đang ứng tuyển mà bạn nghĩ có thể gây ấn tượng. Bạn có thể tham khảo cách giới thiệu theo trình tự thời gian, nhưng hãy gói gọn phần trả lời của bạn trong khoảng 2 phút đồng hồ nhé.

• Đây là một câu hỏi khó, nhà tuyển dụng có thể cho rằng bạn là người kiêu ngạo nếu bạn nói rằng mình không có điểm yếu nào. Nhưng việc bạn thể hiện quá nhiều điểm yếu có thể làm cho nhà tuyển dụng đánh giá thấp năng lực của bạn. Bố cục hợp lý cho câu trả lời này sẽ là:

• Nói về cách mà bạn đã cố gắng để khắc phục điểm yếu của bạn (Telling a relevant story or elaborating on how you are working to change this weakness can only strengthen your case).

• Hãy khôn ngoan khi lựa chọn những điểm yếu không ảnh hưởng đến năng suất của bạn trong công việc sắp ứng tuyển.

• Tell us about your education? I’m currently majoring in finance, with a minor in Japanese, at ABC University. I knew that I wanted to go into accounting from day one, so I chose a university with a strong finance program and a broad alumni network. Because I believe that great accountants also have great communication skills, I decided to hone my language skills, too, by minoring in Japanese. • What does failure mean to you? I think to fail at something is making a mistake and not learning anything from it.

• In what ways do you manage your time well? I manage my time well by planning out what I have to do for the whole week. It keeps me on track and even helps me to be more efficient.

• How do you handle change? I've experienced many changes previously. I handle the situation by quickly coming up to speed on the changes and applying myself to make them a success.

• How do you make important decisions? Important decisions are made by knowledge through information and wisdom through experience. I'll gather all the information I can and then apply my experience while analyzing the information. With this combination, I'm confident I'll make the correct important decisions.

• Do you work well under pressure? During times of pressure, I try to prioritize and plan as much as I can. After I'm organized, I really just put my head down and work hard in a smart way. I don't let the pressure affect me. So I believe I work well under pressure.

• What is your management philosophy? I think management should provide guidance, direction, leadership, and finally set an example to subordinates.

• Are you a risk taker or do you like to stay away from risks? I think it's important to take some risks. If that's what I'm really passionate about, I would definitely try. So I'm more of a risk taker.

• Which category do you fall under? A person who anticipates a problem well, or a person who reacts to a problem well? I think it's good to be good at both. But in my experience, I realized I react to problems better.

• What does success mean to you? Success means to achieve a goal I have set for myself.

• If you could change one thing about your personality, what would it be and why? I get easily frustrated at people who don't work very hard. But I know people have different work styles and different work habits. So if I could change something, I would like to be more understanding.

• How would your best friend describe you? I think my best friend would say that I'm very responsible. Whenever our group of friends had to coordinate an activity, they always relied on me.

• How would your lecturers describe you? My lecturer commented: “You are a very good leader and team-work.”

• Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? I believe that in 5 years from now, I could be in a higher position. That’s another way to say that I love my career as a teacher; therefore I want to go further in education sector. Perhaps I would go study abroad, if I had such a chance, in order to broaden my horizon and then come back to Vietnam.

• Tell me about a time you made a mistake? I was given a project to complete in a week. I understood the project, but I misinterpreted one section. After completing the project, I was told by my manager that it was done incorrectly. I really made a mistake by assuming incorrectly in one of the sections instead of asking for clarification. • What extracurricular activities were you involved in? I was involved in our school newspaper. I was one of the writers for two years. I have also participated in volunteering campaigns for the community.

• During college, how did you spend your summer vacations? Every summers, I had to work to save money for tuition and I took extra English classes.

• Did you do any internships? Where do you intern? Yes. I did two internships. The first internship was for A la carte Danang Beach. My position is receptionist and my second internship was for Pullman Danang Beach resort.

• What do you expect from your manager? The most important thing I want from my manager is constructive feedback so I know where I need to improve. I want to continually grow and having a good manager will help me achieve my goal.

• How long have you been looking for a job? I sent out my resumes just last week. I was very excited when I received an email inviting me to an interview from the company.

• If you don't understand your assignment and you can't reach your boss, what would you do? I would first see what the deadline is and if my manager will be back before the deadline. If not, I would leave a message on my manager's phone. Afterwards, I would ask my peers or other managers to see if they know the assignment. I believe investigating the assignment further will help me understand it.

• How If your supervisor tells you to do something that you believe can be done in a different way, what would you do? I will tell my supervisor an alternative way and explain the benefits. If my supervisor is not convinced, then I'll follow his instructions.
